Time to Diet.
I need to go on a diet. The summer cheeseburger and hot dog cookouts have caught up to me and I need to lose some weight. My doctor looks at me and just shakes his head. He doesn’t even bother saying it anymore….
But diets mean deprivation. It means I can’t have everything I want to eat. I have to stop acting like a child and just say “no” to certain foods. And God forbid, I go to bed hungry. How will I get a good night’s sleep on an empty stomach?
Millions of children don’t have the option to “diet”. They go to bed hungry because they have no other choice. And when they wake up, there’s no guarantee they will have any food to eat.
Perhaps you will consider helping us feed hungry children in Haiti and Africa. Your commitment of 55 cents a day can change a life.
Thank you.
