A Message From Fritz
I received this message from Fritz at Family Care Haiti:
“We just want to live in peace and with the hope of a decent life.
The dreadful oppression of poverty is stronger than ever. Constant fear of gangs, sickness, hunger, and ongoing trauma hover over the population like a thick blanket that they struggle under trying to come up for air.
For an entire week the country was rebelling against gang control, by rising up with machetes and matches to slash, lynch, and burn any gang members that they came across.
You can’t go anywhere without seeing a dead body”.
It’s difficult for us to imagine living under these conditions; not being able to leave your home for fear of being shot by a gang member. Please help us continue to support Fritz and the staff and children of Family Care.
